I have 13 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults in Sacramento, Yolo and Solano counties, and have provided mental health services to individuals and families in diverse settings, including family service agencies, schools, health clinics and psychiatric departments.

Some of the areas that I commonly work work with families (parents and children) include: adoption, attachment challenges, relationships, behavior concerns, academic concerns, learning concerns, school problems, sleep concerns, depression, anxiety, trauma, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, parenting, learning disabilities, self-esteem, grieving and healing after loss. I also work with parents and their children 0 to 5 years old in toileting concerns,

As a License Clinical Social Worker, I have an extensive training working with infants, toddlers, children, adolescents and adults. With an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Social Work, my role as a therapist has been enriched by what each perspective has to offer to our understanding of the whole person in the social environment. As a bicultural and bilingual therapist, I am sensitive to the many ways in which our different systems (family, schools, institutions) affect our well-being, resiliency and resourcefulness.

I continued to invest in my training and currently I am pursuing a fellowship certification with U.C. Davis Extension and the Napa Infant-Parent Mental Health Program. I am a member of the California Marriage and Family Therapy Association as well as a member of the Sacramento Valley Chapter and Yolo-Solano Chapters of CAMFT. Also, I am a member of IDA. I currently serve in the Board for the Yolo-Solano Chapter of California Marriage and Family Therapist.

Outside my professional roles, I enjoy being a partner, a father and a volunteer for youth programs that help children, adolescents and adults work and play together in a safe environment.
